Резюме. Это исследование — продолжение, занявшее более 20 лет, статьи автора «Предыстория расселения: общеафразийская земледельческая лексика» (Militarev 2002), в которой было приведено 37 общихафразийских терминов, предположительно связанных с ранним земледелием. Та статья, встретившая как несерьёзную, так и содержательную критику, была пилотным проектом автора, в котором были представлены перспективные, но недостаточные свидетельства в поддержку его более общей гипотезы о прародине афразийцев. Одна из основных причин неубедительности этих свидетельств заключается в том, что на момент написания статьи критически важные лексикографические и этимологические источники различных авторов ещё не были опубликованы. Настоящая работа содержит более ста реконструированных общеафразийских терминов с оценками автора (1) большей вероятности их интерпретации как относящихся к раннему земледелию, чем к собирательству, (2) качества каждой этимологии с точки зрения её соответствия нормам современного состояния классического сравнительно-исторического метода, учитывая, в частности, полезную критику предыдущего исследования. При этом автор ещё более укрепился в утверждении, сформулированном им в ряде публикаций начиная с 1984 г. и в статье 2002 г.: праафразийцы достаточно надёжно идентифицируются с создателями поздненатуфийской и постнатуфийской ранненеолитических археологических культур Леванта.
