Prehistoric Archaeology. Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies (PAJIS) - is a biannual peer-reviewed interdisciplinary academic journal in continuous publication since 2019. It appears under the aegis of the Institute for the History of Material Culture of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The journal is devoted to prehistory, being primarily focused on the study of the Stone Age and Early Metal Period cultures, their environmental contexts, and interactions between the former and the latter. Articles are published in either Russian or English.
Access and preservation policy: PAJIS is an open access journal. All content is freely available without charge to both private users or institutions immediately upon publication. The journal places publications in multiple digital archives to ensure long-term preservation. All articles are permanently archived and available in PDF format on the journal's website, as well as in open access databases. To acquire a printed copy of the journal or the full series of its issues, please contact the editorial office.
Author fees: PAJIS charges no fees from the authors at no point of the submission or publication process.
