Резюме. Статья посвящена лексикостатистике и глоттохронологии Свадеша в модификации С. А. Старостина, применению автором этих методов к семитской и афразийской базисной лексике и координации данных лексической реконструкции и полученных датировок языковых разделений с археологическими и генетическими данными и хронологиями. Приводятся полученные автором с помощью разработанного С. А. Староческие деревья афразийских и отдельно семитских языков в их сопоставлении с археологическими периодами и датировками, а также примеры возможностей этимологии и реконструированной праязыковой лексики для реконструкции мало доступных другими способами элементов интеллектуальной культуры и представлений (в данном случае неолитического человека Ближнего Востока), включая такие актуальные для современной науки и философии, как представления о природе и направленности времени и о душе как о носителе жизни, индивидуального сознания и ≪самости≫ (следующих из значений слов-потомков этого реконструированного праязыкового термина в отдельных реально засвидетельствованных живых семитских и других афразийских языках и в древнеписьменных семитских и египетском).
